Johnathan Andrews Professional Photographer

Johnathan Andrews has been a professional photographer for more than a decade.

He has a particular passion for portraiture and photojournalism. When reading Johnathan's biography you will understand how photojournalism has taken him to many parts of the world.

Johnathan Andrews has been a guest on many radio shows to talk about his photography and travels and presents talks as keynote speaker on the topic when the opportunity arises. Johnathan Andrews received the Licentiateship Distinction as well as the Associateship Distinction from The Royal Photographic Society for photographic excellence.

Very soon after he took the decision to pursue photography professionally - having been a passionate photographer for many years already - Johnathan was presented with the opportunity to compile a workshop in digital photography. This at first developed into the Johnathan Andrews School of Photography and eventually became the Johnathan Andrews Academy.

You may find some of the back story interesting: Around 2007 Johnathan Andrews was approached by one of the departments of the University of South Africa to compile a workshop in digital photography. At first, Johnathan refused the opportunity because be thought that it would be "giving away the tricks of his trade." However, he eventually accepted the commission and soon the new experience of teaching became one of his greatest passions.

Being a professional photographer also allowed him to be "a teacher" and Johnathan has over more than a decade taught what may be more than a thousand people who has a passion for photography in common.

Johnathan Andrews has a track record of professional photography done for many clients - from corporates, large organisations and brands like: Rand Merchant Bank, Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, Panasonic, SABC etc, to SME's, artists and many private clients.

As professional photographer, Johnathan Andrews has for many years used Nikon as camera and lenses of choice and he is also a Nikon Authorized Dealer.
